Intensive crackdown on 70 guesthouses
COVID-19 infections recently confirmed at local accommodation facility

Amidst COVID-19 cluster infections breaking out at guesthouses in the province, intensive crackdown will be conducted at 70 venues.

In the morning of July 29th, the province announced that it is hard to inspect all of the 4,200 accomodation facilities in rural and fishing villages and that it would be inappropriate to classify all of them as risk groups.

Thus, the province plans to conduct inspections of approximately 70 of the 160 guesthouses that run with restaurants.

They added that if there are any signs of further spread of COVID-19 from guesthouses, they will strengthen quarantine rules.

제주도내 게스트하우스에서 코로나19 집단감염 사례가 발생한 가운데
70여 곳에 대한 집중점검이 이뤄집니다.

제주도는 29일 오전 코로나19 관련 브리핑에서
도내 농어촌 민박인 경우 4천200여 곳으로
모든 곳을 점검하기에는 한계가 있고
모든 곳을 위험군으로 분류할 수는 없다고 밝혔습니다.

이에따라 음식점과 연계된 160여 개 게스트하우스 가운데
70곳 정도를 집중점검할 계획이라고 말했습니다.

그러면서 앞으로 게스트하우스에서
코로나19가 더 확산될 기미를 보이면
집합금지 등 방역수칙을 강화할 방침이라고 덧붙였습니다.
