Family Claims Damages for Infant’s Death

A 12-month-old infant who was confirmed with COVID-19 passed away while being treated at the Jeju National University Hospital. The bereaved family has put forth claims against the national government and Jeju National University Hospital.

The legal representative for the bereaved family filed a lawsuit for damages against the national government and Jeju National University Hospital on the 4th. The bereaved family is demanding one billion won in damages.

The bereaved family is claiming fault on the medical staff who purposely attempted to conceal their fault, which made proper medical treatment unavailable.

The family also posted a national petition which asks for an investigation.

명확한 진상 규명을 촉구했습니다.
