Therapeutic Program Gains Satisfaction

The Jeju Province Agricultural Research and Extension Services revealed that the satisfaction level of its therapeutic horticulture program shows 96.4%.

The program was designed to relieve local residents’ physical and psychological stress. 35 people participated in the program from last month. The program consisted of a total of 12-hour long education courses, including vegetable culture, agricultural materials production and therapeutic horticulture.

The Jeju Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services is planning to extend the program, as it is expected to be effective in moderating mild dementia, reducing stress hormones and alleviating depression.

지역주민들의 정신, 육체적 피로를 해소하기 위해 마련된
치유생활원예 과정은
지난달부터 총 4회에 걸쳐 진행되고 있으며
신청자 35명을 대상으로
채소재배와 농자재 제조,
힐링 원예활동 등 12시간의 교육이 이뤄졌습니다.

농업기술센터는
치유활동이 경증 치매나 스트레스 호르몬 분비 감소,
우울감 감소 등에
효과가 있는 것으로 보고 프로그램을 강화할 계획입니다.
