Last month, the number of employed individuals in the Jeju area saw an upward trend, however the number of employed youth decreased.

According to the Jeju branch of Statistics Korea, the number of employed individuals in the Province increased by 9,000 compared to a year ago.

This marks the largest increase in employment in 13 months since December 2022.

When analyzed by age group, there was an increase in the above 40s demographic, but the number of employed individuals in their 20s decreased by 2,000, and those in their 30s decreased by 1,000 each, indicating a stagnation in the youth employment market.

지난달 제주지역 취업자수는 증가세로 돌아섰지만
청년 취업자수는 감소한 것으로 나타났습니다.

통계청 제주사무소에 따르면
지난달 제주도내 취업자는
1년 전과 비교해 9천명 늘었습니다.

이는 지난 2022년 12월 이후 13개월 만에
가장 큰 취업자 증가폭입니다.

연령대별로 보면
40대 이상층에서는 증가했지만
20대가 2천명,
30대가 1천명 각각 감소하는 등
청년 취업 시장이 얼어붙은 것으로 분석되고 있습니다.
