Among elementary school students participating in the evening childcare pilot program, only 2 out of 10 students continued their participation after 5 p.m.

As per the Jeju branch of the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union (KTU), among the 24 pilot schools offering evening childcare last year, only 26% of the total participating students?182 out of 686 students?remained in the program after 5 p.m.

The proportion of students participating in evening childcare after 5 p.m.
was highest at Jungmun(중문) Elementary School in Seogwipo, with 70% participation,
while Halla(한라) Elementary School had the lowest participation rate at 6%.

10명 중 2명에 그친 것으로 나타났습니다.

전교조 제주지부에 따르면
지난해 저녁돌봄 시범학교는 24개교로
전체 참여 학생 686명 중
오후 5시 이후까지 남은 학생은 182명으로 26%에 그쳤습니다.

오후 5시 이후 저녁돌봄에 참여학생 비율은
서귀포 중문초등학교가 70%로 가장 높았고
한라초는 6%로 가장 낮았습니다.
