Medical Management at Jeju University Hospital continues to worsen amid the largest Medical Specialist exodus in Jeju.

Since the crisis, Jeju University Hospital has seen a decrease of over 20% in outpatients and up to a 50% drop in operating and emergency room rates, leading to a daily deficit of hundreds of millions of Korean won.

The hospital has secured loans amounting to several hundred billion won and has entered into an emergency management status.

In addition, approximately 20 nurses and regular employees have taken unpaid leave.

Only nine of the 62 specialist graduates from Jeju University's medical school are currently working, and 22 interns have been dismissed.

전공의 집단 행동 사태가 두달 째를 맞은 가운데
제주에서 이탈 규모가 가장 큰 제주대병원의
경영 상황이 날로 악화되고 있습니다.

제주대병원은 전공의 사태 이후 일 평균 외래 환자가
평소 대비 20% 이상 감소하고 수술실과 응급실 가동률도 50%대로 떨어지면서 하루 수억 원의 적자가 발생하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.


병원 측은 차입금 수백억 원을 조달해
비상 경영에 들어갔고 간호사와 일반직원 등 20여 명은 무급 휴가에 들어갔다고 전했습니다.

현재 제주대병원에는 제주대 의대를 졸업한 전공의 62명 가운데 9명만 근무 중이며 미복귀 인턴 22명은 임용이 취소된 상태입니다.
