Following the success of the Jeju-filmed drama ‘When Life Gives You Tangerines,’ the province is ramping up efforts to attract more film and television productions to the island.

Jeju has announced plans to double its location filming incentives from 50 million KRW to 100 million KRW. The initiative will also include support for logistics costs and efforts to attract international productions to the island.

Additionally, plans are underway to create a large-scale film set in the eastern region of Jeju.

Over the past two years, 20 dramas filmed in Jeju have generated a local economic impact of 3.1 billion won, highlighting the growing value of the island as a filming location.

제주도가 로케이션 유치 활성화 사업을 추진합니다.

제주특별자치도는
로케이션 제작 인센티브를
기존 5천만 원에서 1억 원으로 올리고
물류비 지원과 해외 작품 유치 등에 나섭니다.

또 제주 동부 지역에
대규모 세트장 조성을 추진할 예정입니다.

한편, 최근 2년동안
제주 로케이션을 활용한 드라마는 20편으로
31억 원의 지역경제 효과를 낸 것으로 분석됐습니다.
