The outlook for apartment sales in Jeju has deteriorated, according to local housing developers.

The Housing Industry Research Institute's apartment sales outlook index for Jeju fell to 75 this month, down 7.4 points from the previous month.

The institute attributed the decline to Jeju’s continuing population decrease and the sluggish recovery of the local economy, which have raised concerns over a long-term drop in housing demand, reflected in the weakening sales outlook.

An index score below 100 indicates that more housing developers hold a negative outlook on the market than a positive one.
