Ahead of the summer peak season, Jeju Province will intensify inspections for illegal filming devices at beaches, public tourist attractions, and festival venues.

Inspections will begin at Samyang (삼양) Beach on the 22nd of this month, followed by focused checks at Hyeopjae, Iho Teu, Hamdeok, and Jungmun Saekdal beaches. Specialized detection equipment will be used to precisely inspect for hidden miniature cameras.

Additionally, a new illegal filming prevention safety checklist will be introduced in the evaluation process for selecting outstanding tourism businesses.

The province says the measure is intended to encourage voluntary participation by private-sector operators.
