Jeju Dongmun Traditional Market has been selected as a Century Market program site in a national competition organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

With over 72 years of history, it is the only market in the region to be included. Over the next two years, plans include establishing the Dongmun (동문) Century Market brand and building a history hall

These efforts will also include creating an experiential walking route connecting the site to the nearby Ohyeondan (오현단) historic site.

The Century Market program is being launched for the first time this year and aims to develop traditional markets with histories of 70 years or more into landmarks.

앞으로 2년간
동문백년시장 브랜드 구축을 비롯해
역사관과 오현단 연계 체험동선 조성 등이 추진됩니다.

백년시장은
70년 이상 역사를 보유한 전통시장을
대한민국을 대표하는 명품시장으로 육성하기 위해
올해 처음 실시되는 사업입니다.
