Chuseok full moon unlikely to be visible

People traditionally make wishes when gazing at the harvest moon on Chuseok, but it’s looking like the weather won’t cooperate this year.

The Jeju weather bureau is forecasting rain on Wednesday and Thursday, which is Chuseok.

They expect skies to remain mostly cloudy but the mercury to drop on Friday, due to the influence of a cold front moving in from the north.

A tropical low pressure front, however, could change the weather conditions beginning on the 12th, so experts are advising everyone to stay on top of current projections throughout the next few days.

제주지방기상청에 따르면 연휴 첫날인 14일부터 기압골의 영향으로 비가 내리겠고
추석 당일까지 이어지며 한가위 대보름달을 보기가 어렵겠습니다.

16일부터는 북쪽에서 차가운 공기가 유입되며 구름이 많은 가운데 선선하겠습니다.

다만 기상청은 12일 쯤 대만해상에서의 열대저기압 발생 여부에 따라 날씨 변동 가능성이 있어 앞으로 발표되는 최신정보를 참고해 달라고 당부했습니다.
