520 flights per day over holidays

Authorities are adding over one hundred extra Jeju flights to the normal schedule in order to accommodate the hundreds of thousands of people who will be visiting the island over the Chuseok holidays.

The Jeju branch of the Korea Airports Corporation is adding some 130 additional flights from September 13th through the 18th. In total, there will be around 3,120 flights, which translates to an average of 520 per day.

The corporation will also assign additional staff to assist passengers at the airport's parking lot and taxi stands.

이번 추석연휴동안 하루 평균 520여 편의 항공기가 운항됩니다.

한국공항공사 제주본부에 따르면 추석연휴가 시작되는 오는 13일부터 18일까지 엿새동안 임시편 130여 편 등 모두 3천120여 편이 운항될 예정입니다.

이에따라 하루 평균 520편의 항공기가 운항되며 9만 5천여 명이 제주공항을 이용할 것으로 예상됩니다.

공항공사는 추석 연휴기간 동안 특별교통대책반을 운영하고 주차장과 택시승강장에 안내원을 추가 배치해 혼잡을 최소화하기로 했습니다.
