17th Jeju Women’s Film Festival wraps up
Festival sheds light on women worldwide


The 17th Jeju Women’s Film Festival wrapped up on October 2nd. The festival promotes gender equality and helps to shed light on the lives of isolated women.

The festival began on September 29th with an opening ceremony that was attended by some 300 movie industry insiders and Jeju residents. The feature film ‘Mustang’ by Deniz Gamze Erguven was screened at the opening event.

A total of over 30 films dealing with various aspects of women’s issues were shown during the four-day festival. These were accompanied with discussions with the film directors and outdoor performances.

제17회 제주여성영화제가
어제(29일) 저녁 제주영화문화예술센터에서 개막했습니다.

개막식에서는
문화예술인과 도민 등 300여명이 참석한 가운데
개막작인 데니즈 겜즈 에르구벤 감독의 '무스탕'이 상영됐습니다.

제주여민회가 마련한 이번 영화제는
오는 2일까지
여성들의 이야기가 담긴 영화 30여편이 상영되고
감독과의 대화와 야외 공연 등
다양한 부대행사가 열릴 예정입니다
