KCTV budget phones now available at post offices nationwide

KCTV budget phones can now be purchased at post offices nationwide.

The postal service has started using its 1,300 offices as selling points for the phones of ten providers, including those of KCTV. They can also be purchased online through the post office’s website.

Monthly fees for the budget phones are significantly lower than those offerred by Korea’s three major telecommunication companies.

The number of budget phone users has continued to rise over the years. In 2012, the number was 1.27 million. It rose to 2.58 million in 2013, 4.58 million in 2014, 5.92 million in 2015, and 6.53 million as of the end of this August.

우체국 알뜰폰 판매 시작...전국에서 구입 가능

KCTV 제주방송의 알뜰폰을 비롯한 제3기 우체국 알뜰폰 판매가 오늘부터 시작됐습니다.

이번에 판매되는 알뜰폰은 KCTV 제주방송의 KCTV 모바일을 비롯한 10개 업체로 제주우체국을 비롯한 전국 1천 300여군데의 우체국 창구와 공식 홈페이지를 통해 지역에 관계없이 판매하고 있습니다.

제3기 우체국 알뜰폰을 이용할 경우 이용자는 기존 이동통신 3사 요금제에 비해 통신비를 크게 절약할 수 있습니다.

국내 알뜰폰 가입자 수는 지난 2012년 127만 명에서 2013년 258만 명, 2014년 458만 명, 2015년 592만 명, 그리고 올해 8월까지 653만 명에 이르고 있습니다.
