Chaba damaged 121 schools
Flooded classrooms at Aewol High School


Over one hundred island schools are among the sites that were damaged by Typhoon Chaba.

The provincial office of education says 121 elementary, middle, and high schools were affected. At Aewol High School, the storm tore apart the roof and flooded classrooms.

Education officials say they will use emergency funding to repair the buildings and work with mutual aid associations to provide damage compensation to each school.

제주도교육청에 따르면
이번 태풍으로 애월고등학교 본관 지붕이 파손되고
교실이 침수되는 등
도내 121군데 초,중,고등학교가 피해를 입었습니다.

이에 따라
교육당국은 신속한 복구를 위해 예비비 등을 활용하는 한편
교육시설 재난공제회와 함께
피해 학교별 보상대책도 마련하기로 했습니다.
