JTO gets permission to relocate duty-free shop
Details still need to be worked out


Moving on to other news, the Jeju Tourism Organization now has permission to relocate its duty-free shop from the Jungmun Tourism Complex to a more urban area.

Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho presided over a ministerial meeting on Thursday and announced that Jeju’s duty-free shop was now permitted to move to an area with more tourist demand.

The Office for Government Coordination, the land ministry, the Jeju Free International Development Center, the JTO, the provincial government and other parties still need to iron out the details of the move.

시내로 이전할 수 있게 됐습니다.

오늘 오전 정부서울청사에서 경제관계 장관회의를 주재하고
제주도의 지정면세점 입지를
관광수요가 많은 지역으로 변경.허용함으로써
관광객들로 하여금 면세쇼핑의 접근성을 확대하기로 했습니다.

단 세부 입지는 수요 등을 감안해
국무조정실, 국토부,
제주국제자유도시개발센터, 제주관광공사,
제주도간 협약 등을 통해 결정하기로 했습니다.
