Typhoon damage tally now at ￦13.9b
Most reports of damage coming from private sector

Damage claims continue to pile up in the wake of last week’s Typhoon Chaba.

Provincial officials received reports of another 2.5 billion won in damage on Friday alone, pushing the total to some 13.9 billion won. That tally is from 17 facets of both the public and private sectors

More than 10 billion won of the tally is for damage to farms, greenhouses, stables, and other private facilities.

The province says it will dispatch people to help with the restoration work.

태풍 '차바' 피해규모 139억원으로 늘어

태풍 차바로 의한 피해규모가 계속해서 늘고 있습니다.

제주특별자치도 재난안전대책본부에 따르면
오늘 오전까지 접수된 태풍 피해는
공공시설과 사유시설 17개 분야에 139억원에 이르고 있습니다.
하룻사이에 25억원 가량 늘어났습니다.

사유시설의 경우 농경지 유실과
비닐하우스. 축사시설 파손 신고가 잇따르면서
현재까지 피해규모가 100억원을 넘고 있습니다.

제주도는
피해현장에 인력을 지원해 복구작업을 돕기로 했습니다.
