Weak pressure at higher elevations

Over a dozen water supply systems remained out of order on Friday… days after Typhoon Chaba swept through Jeju.

According to the Jeju Waterworks Authority, 15 out of 18 of the island’s water systems continued Friday to experience power shortages.

Even after the water was turned back on, households at higher altitudes were still struggling with weak water pressure.

The waterworks authority says it will both revamp its manual on how to respond to similar situations by categorizing the steps to be taken in an emergency and upgrade its alert system for residents.

일부 고지대와 저수조 없이 직접 공급받는 가정은
수압이 약해 불편을 겪고 있습니다.

상하수도본부는 이번 사고를 계기로
단계별 조치사항과 도민 홍보요령을 재정비하기로 했습니다.
