Middle school students learn about energy conservation


Some of the island’s younger residents took part Wednesday in a special one-day camp on energy conservation at the Korea Energy Agency’s Renewable Energy PR Center in Jeju.

Around 40 students from Jeju Seo Middle School took part in the event. They learned about saving energy through exhibits and activities.

They say it was a good opportunity to experience an unfamiliar field and understand the value of energy and the importance of dealing with climate change, as well as learn more about jobs in the sector.

학생들에게 기후변화 대응과 에너지 절약의 중요성을 알리기 위한 에너지 투모로우캠프가 오늘(19일)
신재생에너지 홍보관에서 열렸습니다.

한국에너지공단 제주지역본부가 마련한 이번 행사에는 제주서중학교 학생 40여명이 참가해 신재생 에너지 시설을 관람하고 모형만들기 등 다양한 프로그램을 체험했습니다.

학생들은 평소 접하지 못한 분야의 체험을 통해 에너지의 소중함과 기후변화의 시급성을 느끼고 관련분야의 유망직업 등을 배웠습니다.
