Relatively warm spring forecast
Average number of ‘yellow dust days’

Forecasters say this spring will be warmer than normal and that we’ll have an average number of days on which yellow dust will be an issue.

According to the Jeju Regional Office of Meteorology’s spring forecast, we’ll have a temporary cold snap in March. By May, though, the mercury will be above normal levels for some periods.

Regarding precipitation...we can expect average rainfall this spring, or a little bit less than usual. Low pressure systems may give us a wetter than normal April, though.

Finally, we’re looking at about 4.6 days of yellow dust - which is right around normal.

올 봄 비교적 포근…황사 예년수준

올 봄은 예년보다 포근하겠고 황사 발생일수는 평년수준을 보일 전망입니다.

제주지방기상청은 봄철 기상전망을 통해 기온은 대체로 평년보다 높겠으며 3월은 일시적으로 꽃샘추위가 찾아오겠고 5월은 고온현상을 보이는 때가 있겠다고 설명했습니다.

강우량은 대체로 평년과 비슷하거나 적겠고 4월에 저기압의 영향으로 다소 많은 비가 내릴 가능성이 있겠습니다.

황사 발생일수는 평년수준인 4.6일과 비슷할 것으로 내다보고 있습니다.
