Over new 800 bus drivers needed
Big changes to public transport this summer

The provincial government and the Bus Transport Association will be hiring hundreds of new bus drivers as part of the island’s public transport overhaul.

832 drivers will be hired - 750 for privately owned buses, 73 for public buses.

The jobs require driving licenses for both full-sized cars and buses as well as driving experience. For public buses, applicants must have at least one year of experience, for private buses, at least two.

The province does not want to steal drivers from the private sector, so for the public bus driver positions it is looking for applicants between the ages of 55 and 65. They will be given short-term contracts.

Anyone who meets the above qualifications may apply through June 9th. Applications must be sent to the province for the public positions and to the association for the private-sector positions.

제주도와 버스운송사업조합이 대중교통 개편에 따른 버스운전원을 공개 채용합니다.

채용인력은 전체 823명으로 민영버스 750명, 공영버스 73명입니다.

대형면허증과 버스운전자격증을 갖고 있어야 하며 민영은 사업용 차량 운전경력이 2년, 공영은 1년 이상의 경력이 있어야 합니다.

다만 공영버스의 경우 민영버스 업체의 이탈을 막기 위해 55살 이상 65살 이하의 기간제 인력으로 채용합니다.

지원 기간은 오늘부터 다음달 9일까지로 민영버스는 운수조합에서 공영버스는 제주도에서 서류를 접수합니다.
