Iho Tewoo Beach Festival August 4-6
Windsurfing, traditional fishing, torchlit parade, etc.

Organizers have planned a wide range of activities for the Iho Tewoo Beach Festival, which will be from August 4th to the 6th.

Area residents will demonstrate traditional anchovy fishing, “haenyeo” will take part in a torchlit parade, and there will be a windsurfing demonstration. Visitors will also be able to try their hand at “wondam” fishing, which involves using traditional stone weirs.

The festival highlights involve tewoo, which are traditional fishing boats unique to the island. Visitors will be able to enjoy a launching ceremony and try their hand at making one of the vessels.

제주 이호테우축제 내달 4일 개막

이호테우축제가 다음달 4일부터 사흘 동안 제주시 이호테우해수욕장에서 열립니다.

이번 축제에서는 제주도민들이 전통적으로 멸치잡이를 재현하는 퍼포먼스를 비롯해, 원담 고기잡이 체험과 해녀 횃불 퍼레이드 등이 다양한 프로그램이 진행됩니다.

또 테우진수식과 윈드서핑 시연 그리고 모형 테우만들기 체험 등 다양한 어로 문화 체험프로그램이 운영됩니다
