Crackdown continues on illegal distribution of non-commodity tangerines
9 violations exposed to date, fines imposed

Jeju Island and the local police are strengthening their crackdown on the distribution of non-commodity tangerines ahead of the Chuseok holidays.

The Jeju Municipal police will form a special investigation team with four investigators to track down online sales and distribution of non-commodity tangerines.

The team will primarily investigate the distribution of the tangerines traded directly from farms to large-scale distributors.

Jeju Island will heighten inspections at the production areas of tangerine fruits and will utilize drone surveillance in their investigations.

Meanwhile, nine violations have been exposed in Jeju, including eight cases of illegal sales and distribution, and one case of forced coloring. Fines have been imposed and the products have been discarded.

대규모 유통업자들에 의한
비상품감귤 유통 행위를 집중 수사할 방침입니다.

제주도는
극조생감귤 주산지에 대한 점검을 강화하고
드론장비를 활용한 단속도 지속적으로 추진합니다.

한편 지금까지 제주에서는
비상품감귤 판매 유통 행위 8건, 강제 착색 1건 등
9건이 적발돼
과태료 부과와 폐기 조치됐습니다.
