Province ranks top for purchasing rate of products made by the disabled
Jeju purchased ￦1.89B worth of products last year

The province has recorded the highest preferential purchase rate of products produced by the severely disabled in the country.

According to the province, in total, 1.89 billion won worth of products made by severely disabled people were purchased last year, amounting to 1.17 percent. It is the highest rate among 17 cities and provinces in the country.

The total has increased by 1.02 billion won, a 0.59% increase from the previous year.

Public institutions are obligated to purchase more than 1% of its total purchases from companies that hire employees with severe disabilities.

전국에서 가장 높은 것으로 나타났습니다.

제주도에 따르면
지난해 중증장애인 생산 제품 구매 금액은 18억9천여 만원으로
비율로는 1.17%를 기록했습니다.

이는 전년보다 각각 10억2천여 만원, 0.59% 증가한 것으로
비율은 전국 17개 시도 가운데 가장 높았습니다.

한편 공공기관들은 총 구매액의 1% 이상을
중증장애인 생산품으로 구매하도록 의무화됐습니다.
