Reports indicate that rental scams in Jeju have resulted in financial losses exceeding 7 billion won.

Following the implementation of a special law to combat rental frauds in June of the previous year, victims in Jeju have suffered damages totaling 7.25 billion won across 80 incidents.

By region, 68 cases were reported in Jeju City and 12 in Seogwipo City.


In terms of age demographics, the majority of victims were in their 30s with 24 cases, followed by the 50s with 21 cases, people in their 40s with 14 cases, and those aged 60 and older with 14 cases.

The majority of cases, 47 in total, were related to officetels, followed by 12 in multi-unit buildings, 11 single or multi-family homes, and 4 apartments.

Out of the 80 victims who filed claims, 54 have been officially recognized as victims through deliberation by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, while the remaining are either pending or are under investigation.

70억 원을 넘는 것으로 집계됐습니다.


제주특별자치도에 따르면 지난해 6월부터 전세사기 관련 특별법 시행 이후 지금까지 접수된 제주지역 피해 규모는 80명에 72억 2천 500만 원으로 나타났습니다.

지역별로는 제주시가 68명, 서귀포시 12명이며

연령대별로는 30대가 24명으로 가장 많았고
50대 21명, 40대 14명, 60대 이상 14명 순으로 조사됐습니다.

주택유형별로는 오피스텔이 47건으로 가장 많고,
다세대 12건, 단독.다가구주택 11건, 아파트 4건 등입니다.

현재까지 전세사기 피해신청 80명 가운데
국토교통부 심의 의결을 거쳐
54명이 피해자로 인정받았으며
나머지는 불인정 또는 사실 조사 중입니다.
