Electric pruner safety accidents have surged this month, raising concerns for greater caution.

According to the Fire Department, there have been 50 reported accidents this year during orchard pruning, with 31 of these incidents (60%) occurring in March.

Electric pruners account for 70% of the accidents, making them the most frequent cause.

The victims of these accidents are predominantly elderly, with 80% of those injured being over the age of 60.

The Agricultural Research and Extension Services has urged caution during pruning season, advising users to keep their opposite hand as far away from the cutting area as possible when using electric pruners.

최대한 멀리 떨어져 잡아야 한다고 당부했습니다.
