Education leaders from across the country are calling on the government to issue work visas to foreign students graduating from specialized high schools, allowing them to remain in Korea for a set period.

The National Council of Governors of Education noted current work visa eligibility is limited to those with an associate degree or higher, making it difficult for foreign graduates of vocational high schools to settle in local communities. They called for policy reforms to address the issue.

The council also expressed concern over the ongoing electricity rate hikes, saying they are hindering educational activities. They proposed six measures to address the issue, including lowering electricity rates for schools.

지역 정주에 어려움이 있다며 정책 개선을 요청했습니다.

이 밖에도 지속적인 전기요금 인상으로
교육활동에 위축을 가져오고 있다며
교육용 전기요금 단가 인하 등 6가지 요구을 건의했습니다.
