The 4.3 Liberation Memorial Ceremony was held at Shinsan (신산) Park on April 1st, marking the 77th anniversary of the Jeju 4.3 incident.

The event served as a moment of remembrance and a call for the incident’s full resolution.

At the ceremony, the Jeju 4.3 Truth and Honor Restoration Citizens' Alliance reflected on the progress made toward resolving the 4.3 issues and reaffirmed their commitment to tackling challenges that remain. The group also expressed hopes for the successful execution of commemorative events taking place in Jeju, across South Korea, and in Japan.

The 4.3 Liberation Memorial Ceremony has been held annually on April 1st since 2000, following the enactment of the Special Law on the Jeju Uprising.

4.3해원방사탑제는
지난 2000년, 4.3특별법 제정 이후
매년 4월 1일 봉행되고 있습니다.
