Business sentiment in Jeju improved last month but continues to fall short of the benchmark level.

According to the Bank of Korea’s Jeju branch,
the Business Sentiment Index (BSI) for April rose by 14.1 points from the previous month to 87.6, with both the manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors showing gains.

The outlook for next month also improved, with the forecast BSI rising by 11.4 points to 90.7.

However, as the index remains below the benchmark of 100,
the survey indicates that more businesses still view the economy negatively than positively.



제주 기업 체감·전망경기 개선…기준치 밑돌아

지난달 제주의 기업경기가 개선됐지만
여전히 기준치를 밑돌고 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.

한국은행 제주본부에 따르면
4월 기업심리지수는 전월 대비 14.1포인트 오른 87.6으로 업종별로는 제조업과 비제조업 모두 상승세를 보였습니다.

이와 함께 다음 달 전망 기업심리지수는 90.7로
11.4포인트 올랐습니다.

다만 지수가 여전히 기준치인 100을 밑돌면서
경기를 부정적으로 보는 기업이 더 많은 것으로 조사됐습니다.
