The Jeju Provincial Office of Education and the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education have agreed to share educational facilities for the benefit of students.

Kim Kwang-soo (김광수), Superintendent of the Jeju Provincial Office of Education, and Yoon Gun-young (윤건영), Superintendent of the Chungcheongbuk-do Office of Education, announced the agreement, highlighting its aim to support staff welfare and enhance student services.

The two offices plan to hold further working-level discussions
to develop detailed plans for facility usage.

Meanwhile, since 2014, the Chungcheongbuk-do (충청북도) Office of Education has been operating a Jeju branch of its Marine Education Center, a facility near Gwakji (곽지) Beach in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, consisting of one underground floor and four above-ground floors.

제주도교육청과 충청북도교육청이
두 기관의 교육시설을 학생들을 위해 공유하기로 했습니다.

교직원들의 휴식과 학생 복지를 위해 이 같이 합의했다고 밝혔습니다.

이에 따라 앞으로 실무 협의를 통해
시설 이용 방안 등을 구체적으로 마련하기로 했습니다.

한편 충북도교육청은
지난 2014년부터 제주시 애월읍 곽지해수욕장 인근에 지하 1층, 지상 4층 규모의 해양교육원 제주분원을 건립해 운영중입니다.
