The fatality rate for speeding-related traffic accidents is more than 10 times higher than that of general accidents.

According to Jeju Police, over the past three years, there were 80 traffic accidents caused by driving more than 20 km/h over the speed limit, resulting in 10 deaths.

The fatality rate for speeding accidents was 13%, compared to 1.3% for all traffic accidents ? a tenfold difference.

The rate of serious injuries in speeding accidents was also 98%, more than three times higher than in general traffic accidents.
