The APEC decentralized meetings held in Jeju from the 3rd to the 16th in May have generated an estimated economic impact of approximately 47.2 billion KRW for the local economy.

According to the Jeju Research Institute at the request of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the APEC meetings led to a production inducement effect of 47.2 billion KRW, a value-added inducement effect of 25.8 billion KRW, and created approximately 695 job opportunities.

Additionally, major international media outlets including Reuters US, CNBC, CNA, and China Global Television Network covered the APEC Jeju meetings, contributing to a positive boost in South Korea's global profile.

The recent APEC meetings held in Jeju were attended by approximately 3,900 participants, including over 70 high-ranking VIPs at the ministerial level from the 21 member economies.

장관급 VIP 70여 명을 포함한 3천 900여 명이 참가했습니다.
