Jeju Province has submitted an ordinance to the provincial council to establish and operate a Jeju Facilities Corporation.

The draft sets out the basic framework, including executive structure, board operations, hiring rules, and the scope of delegated projects.

The corporation is scheduled to launch in January next year. It will operate under a structure of one office, two divisions, and 12 teams, led by a chairperson. Operations are set to cover 39 sewerage facilities and three environmental facilities.

The province says it will expand a working-level committee that includes union members and representatives of outsourced workers.

It plans to keep gathering input on staffing, recruitment, and the wage system.

Jeju also expects the corporation to save about 7.7 billion won a year.

제주시설관리공단 설립과 운영에 관한 조례안을 도의회에 제출했습니다.

조례안은 공단 설립에 관한 기본 사항을 규정한 것으로
임원 구성과 이사회 운영, 직원 임면, 대행사업 범위 등이 담겼습니다.

시설관리공단은 내년 1월 설립을 목표로
이사장과 1실 2본부 12팀 체계로 구성되며
하수도시설 39개소와 환경시설 3개소를 대상으로 운영될 예정입니다.

제주도는 노조와 민간위탁 근로자 대표가 참여하는 실무위원회를 확대 구성해
조직 구성과 채용 계획, 임금체계 등에 대한 의견 수렴을 지속할 방침입니다.

한편 제주도는 공단 운영으로
연간 약 77억원의 재정 절감 효과가 있을 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.
