A new survey shows seven out of ten small and medium-sized companies in Jeju are struggling to meet funding demand ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Jeju branch of the Korea Federation of SMEs surveyed 47 companies from January 19 to 29. Around 70.2 percent said they were financially challenged.

The top reason was weak sales, at 78.8 percent. Delayed payment
collection and rising raw material costs followed.

Also, 55.3 percent said they will pay Lunar New Year bonuses at the same level as last year or reduced.

자금 수요에 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.

지난달 19일부터 29일까지
도내 중소기업 47곳을 조사한 결과
70.2%가 자금 사정이 곤란하다고 응답했습니다.

자금사정이 곤란한 이유로는
판매부진이 78.8%로 가장 많았고
판매대금 회수 지연,
원부자재 가격 상승 등이 뒤를 이었습니다.

올해 설 상여금을
지난해와 동일하거나
축소해서 지급하겠다고 응답한 중소기업은 55.3%로 조사됐습니다.
