The Province is rolling out new measures to protect older farmers and prevent machinery accidents.

This year, Jeju will invest 630 million won in Farm safety for seniors. Jeju will hire four farm-work safety managers and safety devices will be piloted on shredders to prevent accidents.

Jeju will also train 30 heat-risk prevention workers to strengthen monitoring during heat waves. In addition, the distribution of cooling vests for farm work will be expanded.
