Jeju Province is launching a response system for its dairy industry. The sector is struggling with falling milk consumption and rising production costs.

The province will form a Jeju-style milk chain management council. It will include the government, dairy processors, and farmers. The council will manage the full chain in an integrated way that
includes production, distribution, and market development.

Production of premium raw milk will be expanded, and the introduction of OEM along with more efficient raw milk allocation, will be used to improve the industry structure and stabilize farm income.

Measures to ease management burdens will also be pursued, including expanded support for feed transportation costs, an increase in the ceiling of the Agricultural and Fisheries Promotion Fund, and diversification of distribution channels.

원유 배분 효율화 등을 통해
산업 구조를 개선하고
농가 소득 안정에 집중합니다.

또 낙농가가 주도하는 유가공 공장 공동 운영 모델을 검토하고,
사료 운송비 지원 확대와
농어촌진흥기금 한도 상향,
유통 판로 다변화 등
경영 부담 완화책도 병행할 계획입니다
