A full inspection of entry-management safety facilities at 197 schools across Jeju by the Jeju Provincial Office of Education found clear differences from school to school.

According to the survey, 70 schools controlled access using automatic entry systems, while 50 verified visitors via intercom before allowing them onto campus.

In addition, student safety guards are stationed at every school to control entry at the school gate, but 53 schools, including 40 elementary schools, also station guards directly at the main entrance of the school building.

Based on the survey results, the Jeju Provincial Office of Education plans to draw up measures to strengthen entry management, reflecting input from schools and residents.

외부인 출입을 통제하는 학교는 70개교였고, 인터폰 설치로 방문자를 확인한 뒤 출입을 관리하는 학교는 50개교로 조사됐습니다.

또 학생보호인력인 안전지킴이가
모든 학교에 교문에서 출입을 통제하고 있으나 교사동 주출입문에 직접 배치해 운영하는 학교도 초등학교 40곳을 비롯해 전체 53개교로 확인됐습니다.

제주도교육청은 이번 조사 결과를 토대로
학교 현장과 도민 의견을 반영해 출입관리 강화 방안을 마련할 계획입니다.
