Jeju City is stepping up safety management at river swimming spots, including Woldaecheon (월대천) stream, Ongpo (옹포) stream, and the Eoul (어울) park pool.

The city has deployed six water safety guards each at Woldae (월대) and Ongpo (옹포) streams to enforce basic safety rules, monitor rising water levels during weather advisories, and check that swimmers wear safety gear such as life jackets.

It is also stepping up guidance for beachgoers on essential safety rules, including a ban on entering the water after drinking and using only designated swimming areas.
