Mining and manufacturing output in Jeju rebounded in June, while consumer spending continued to decline.

According to the Jeju office of the National Data Agency, June output rose 7.9% from a year earlier, led by beverages and pharmaceuticals, the first increase in three months.

Despite the gain, shipments fell 3.4% while inventories rose 12%.

Meanwhile, the large retail sales index dropped 10.8%, marking a fourth straight month of decline.

지난6월 광공업 생산이 반등에 성공했지만
소비 감소세는 지속되고 있는 것으로 나타났습니다.

지난6월 광공업 생산은
음료와 의약품을 중심으로
지난해 같은 달보다 7.9% 늘며
3개월 만에 증가세로 돌아섰습니다.

하지만 생산 증가에도 불구하고
출하는 3.4% 줄고
재고는 12% 늘었습니다.

이와 함께 대형소매점 판매액지수도 10.8% 줄며
4개월 연속 하락세를 이어갔습니다.
