Consumer price growth fell back into the 2% range last month, the first time in three months.

According to the Jeju office of the National Data Agency, consumer prices in Jeju last month rose 2.9% compared to the same month a year earlier.

Consumer price growth had held in the 3% range for two straight months in May and June, but eased back into the 2% range in three months as the rise in petroleum prices, which had surged due to the Middle East war.

By category, agricultural, livestock, and fisheries products rose 2.4% and industrial products rose 3.9%, leading the overall increase in consumer prices.



7월 소비자물가 2.9% 상승…석달 만에 2%대

지난달 소비자물가 상승률이 석달 만에 2%대로 내려왔습니다.

지난달 제주지역 소비자물가는
지난해 같은 달과 비교해 2.9% 올랐습니다.

소비자물가 상승률은
지난 5월과 6월 두 달 연속 3%대를 기록했지만
중동전쟁 영향으로 급등했던
석유류 가격 오름세가 둔화되면서 석달 만에 2%대로 떨어졌습니다.

품목성질별로는
농축수산물이 2.4%,
공업제품이 3.9% 각각 상승하며
소비자물가 오름세를 주도했습니다.
