The expansion of green hydrogen charging facilities in Jeju is facing difficulties.

According to Jeju Province, although the government secured a budget last year to expand three charging stations, not a single one has yet been developed.

The delay is attributed to resistance from local residents, preventing the acquisition of land, and recent reports indicate that the private company handling the project is facing financial difficulties, making further progress challenging.

Currently, the only green hydrogen charging station in the province is in Hamdeok (함덕).
