Due to the dry weather in spring, the higher likelihood of wildfires is calling for special attention.

According to the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters, there have been 101 wildfires in Jeju over the past five years, with 34.7% of them occurring between March and May during the spring season.

In terms of causes, 73.3% of the fires were caused by negligence, such as garbage burning or cigarette butts.

Fire authorities have urged the public to be particularly cautious with fire management during the dry, windy spring season, as it poses a greater risk.

부주의로 인한 화재가 73.3%로 대부분을 차지했습니다.

특히 기후가 건조하고
바람이 강하게 부는 봄에는 위험한 만큼
불씨 관리에 각별히 유의해야 한다고 소방당국은 당부했습니다.
