The Hallasan hiking reservation system, now in its fifth year, will undergo improvements to enhance user convenience.

To achieve this, Jeju will conduct a survey of local residents this month to assess public perception, analyze the system's effectiveness and its necessity, areas for improvement, and its impact on Jeju's economy.

Additionally, a policy forum will be held to share the survey results and gather expert opinions for further improvements to the reservation system.

Starting next month, Jeju will allow students to hike Hallasan without a reservation, but only for educational activities.

Currently, the Hallasan reservation system limits the number of daily visitors to 1,000 for Seongpanak (성판악) Trail and 500 for Gwanuemsa (관음사) Trail.

한라산 탐방 예약제가 시행 5년 차를 맞고 있는 가운데
제주도가
이용 편의를 위한 제도개선에 나섭니다.

이를 위해 이달 중에
탐방예약제 운영에 따른 도민 인식조사를 실시해
운영효과와 필요성, 개선사항,
제주경제 파급효과 등을 종합적으로 분석합니다.

아울러 인식조사 결과를 공유하고
전문가들의 의견 수렴을 위해
탐방예약제 제도개선을 위한 정책토론회를 개최합니다.

제주도는 이에 앞서 다음달부터
학생 체험활동에 한해
탐방 예약 없이도 한라산 출입을 허용할 예정입니다.

현재 한라산 탐방예약제에 따라
성판악 탐방객수는 1일 1천명,
관음사는 500명으로 제한하고 있습니다.
