This year's Hallasan Ritual will take place on the morning of the 23rd at the Hallasan Shrine in Ara-dong (아라동), Jeju City.

The Hallasan Ritual is a traditional ceremony that has been held since the Tamna (탐라) Kingdom era, wishing for the well-being and prosperity of the local residents.

The chief ritual leader will be Governor Oh Young-hun (오영훈), supported by Jeju Provincial Council Chairman Lee Sang-bong (이상봉) joining as vice leader, and directed by Jeon Byeong-cheol (전병철), the head of the Korea Rural Community Corporation Jeju Branch.

In addition, the event will feature traditional performances, including the Shaman Dance, and various interactive programs including writing family mottos and hanging of wish papers.

한라산신제는
도민의 안녕과 풍요를 기원하는 제례로
탐라국 시대부터 이어져 온 제주의 대표적인 전통 제례입니다.

제례 초헌관은 오영훈 지사,
아헌관은 이상봉 도의회 의장,
종헌관은 전병철 한국농어촌공사 제주본부장이 맡게 됩니다.

행사장에서는 제례와 함께
한라산신놀이 등 전통문화 공연과 가훈 써주기,
소원지 달기 등
체험프로그램도 마련됩니다.
