Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) has announced it will 3,000 unsold newly-built homes across regional areas.

The program targets all regions outside the Seoul metropolitan area. LH will determine whether to purchase properties based on their potential for rental use and the possibility of future conversion to ownership.

The purchase price will be set within the maximum allowable price, based on the selling price proposed by each seller.
LH will purchase properties starting from those with the lowest asking prices.

The acquired homes will be offered as “Convertible and Stable Jeonse,” an annual lease, allowing tenants to live there under a long-term lease at approximately 90% of market value for six years, with an option to purchase the property at a discounted price afterward.
