Jeju City will provide childcare support grants to approximately 7,000 families with newborns this year.

For the first child born last year, families will receive 5 million won over five years. For the second child or later born this year, families will receive 10 million won in installments over nine years.

Eligible parents must have had a registered address in Jeju for at least six months before their first child’s birth, or 12 months for the second child or later.

Applications may be filed directly at district offices.
Jeju’s total fertility rate last year was 0.87, up 0.07 from a year earlier.

제주시가 올해
출산 가정 7천여 가구에
육아지원금을 지원합니다.

지난해 이후 출생한 첫째아는
5년 동안 5백만 원,
올해 출생한 둘째아 이상 가정에는
9년 동안 1천만 원을 분할 지급합니다.

지원 대상은
자녀 출생일 기준 첫째는 6개월,
둘째 이상은 12개월 이전부터
주민등록상 제주도에 주소를 두고 있는 부모이며,

출생신고 시 읍면동에서 바로 신청할 수 있습니다.

한편, 제주도 합계출산률은
지난해 0.87명으로,
전년보다 0.07% 상승했습니다.
