5 Chinese charged with smuggling and distributing narcotics
They sell zolpidem through online and 22 buyers also caught

A group of people who smuggled and distributed drugs such as zolpidem, a type of sleeping pill, has been arrested.

The Jeju Police Agency arrested two Chinese and booked three Chinese people without detention on charges of smuggling and selling drugs.

In addition, 22 people who bought drugs from them were also booked.

According to the police, they are suspected of smuggling psychotropic drugs such as zolpidem and zopiclone from China and selling them through online from September last year until January this year.

The police confiscated 7,000 tablets of narcotics, worth a total of 330 million won.



3. 마약류 밀반입·유통한 중국인 무더기 검거

수면제 일종인 졸피뎀 등 수억원 상당의 마약류를
밀반입하고 유통한 일당이 무더기로 검거됐습니다.

제주경찰청은
마약류 밀반입과 판매 혐의로
중국인 A씨 등 2명을 구속하고
중국인 B씨 등 3명을 불구속 입건했습니다.

이와함께 이들로부터 마약을 구입한 도민 등 22명도 입건했습니다.

경찰에 따르면 이들은
지난해 9월부터 올해 1월까지
중국에서 졸피뎀과 조피클론 등 향정신성 의약품을 밀반입해
SNS 등을 통해 판매한 혐의를 받고 있습니다.

경찰은 이들로부터 3억 3천만원 상당의 마약류 7천여 정을
압수했습니다.
