Jeju Police Chief Lee Chung-ho(이충호) vows to boost rewards for reporting drunk driving, intensifying efforts to combat the issue.

Chief Lee emphasized the relatively high risk of secondary crimes associated with drunk driving and pledged to increase prevention efforts by actively utilizing the reporting reward system.

Starting this year, the reporting reward has been increased from 50,000 to 100,000 won, and an ordinance to provide incentives to police responding to drunk driving reports is pending approval at the council meeting, urging active reporting.



음주운전 신고 포상제 활성화"…보상금 확대

이충호 제주경찰청장이 음주운전 근절을 위해 음주운전 신고 포상제를 더욱 활성화하겠다고 밝혔습니다.

이 청장은 음주운전에 따른 파생 범죄 위험이 상대적으로 높은 만큼 음주운전 포상제를 적극 활용해 예방 효과를 높이겠다고 강조했습니다.

올해부터 신고 포상금이 5만원에서 10만 원으로 상향됐고 음주운전 신고 출동 경찰에도 인센티브를 지급하는 조례가 본회의 통과를 앞두고 있다며
적극적인 신고를 당부했습니다.
